Smurfs Return to the big screen: Synopsis, voice actor, and broadcast schedule in Indonesia

About Semarang – Who doesn’t know the adorable blue dwarves? They will be back in the latest animated film titled “Smurfs”, which are ready to air simultaneously in the United States and Indonesia on July 18, 2025.

The film is produced by Paramount Pictures and promises musical adventures full of laughter and warmth for the whole family.

In the official synopsis released through the CGV page on Wednesday (9/7/2025), the story began when Papa Smurf (voiced by John Goodman) was kidnapped by two evil magicians, Razamel and Gargamel.

To save him, Smurfette (voiced by Rihanna) led the Smurf in a dangerous mission that brought them out of the Smurf village and entered the human world.

In this challenge adventure, the Smurf met with new friends and faced various obstacles. They not only struggled to save Papa Smurf, but also found the strength, identity, and the meaning of true friendship that inspired.

The film Smurfs 2025 features a row of top voice actor. Besides Rihanna, there are James Corden, Nick Offerman, Daniel Levy, Sandra Oh, Octavia Spencer, Nick Kroll, Maya Erskine, and Kurt Russell.

Rihanna also acted as a producer, as well as writing and singing original songs for this film.

This film is a reboot of the previous Smurfs series and adapted from the classic comic by Belgian artist, Peyo.

Film production is done by Paramount Animation, in collaboration with Lafig Belgium and IMPS (Peyo Company).

Pam Brady is believed to be a script writer, and Chris Miller sat on the bench of the director.

The animal service is provided by Cinesite, which is known to be experienced in the production of high -quality animated films.

With a combination of classic stories, fresh music, and the latest animated technology, the SMURFS 2025 film is ready to become an entertaining family spectacle.
