New spirit of new santri! MPLP 2025 Pesantren Darul Ma’arif Kaplongan Officially Opened – Darul Ma’arif Islamic Boarding School

Darul Ma’arif Islamic Boarding School Kaplongan Indramayu again held an activity Pesantren Environmental Introduction Period (MPLP) For the new students of the 2025/2026 school year, as a first step to shape the character and enthusiasm of learning of the students since the first day set foot in the pesantren environment.

The event which took place solemnly and enthusiastically was held at the Al-Mukhlishin Mosque, followed by hundreds of new students from various regions on Thursday (07/10/2025). MPLP is an important moment for students to get to know more about pesantren culture, Islamic values, and organizational structures that will accompany them during the education process.

Greetings of the Director of the Pesantren: Instill Intention, Maintain Enthusiasm

In his remarks, Director of Darul Ma’arif Islamic Boarding School, Ust. BA FAISAL HASRI, S.Kom., Conveying the importance of MPLP as a forum for the formation of the character of students from an early age. He emphasized that the right intention and a high enthusiasm for learning must be the main provision in studying in pesantren.

“Pesantren is not only a place to seek knowledge, but also a place to forge a soul. This MPLP is the initial gate, where you arrange your intention and start the journey as a true knowledge prosecutor,” said Ust. Ba Faisal Hasri in front of the new students.

In line with that, Chairperson of MPLP, Ust. Asep Moch. Saepudin, S.Pd., said that this activity was arranged in such a way that the new students could feel comfortable and proud to be part of the extended family of Darul Ma’arif. Starting from the introduction of the environment, the inculcation of the values of santri adab, santri education programs, assessments, to interactive activities such as mentoring and group dynamics became part of the MPLP series this year.

“This MPLP is not a hazing event, but the orientation period to love pesantren, learn to live independently, and know the system that will shape the morals and insights of the students,” Ust said. Asep Moch. Saepudin in his remarks.

Introduction of Organizational Structure: Learn from Exemplary

In the introduction of the pesantren organizational structure, the new students were introduced to various positions and important roles in the management structure of the Darul Ma’arif Islamic Boarding School. The Ustadz and Ustadzah who carry out the mandate as daily staff, care, education, health and hygiene, security, character development, waqf and sarpras, pesantren public relations, as well as the media and propaganda, appear to introduce themselves and explain their duties and functions.
