Then what is the Islamic view of spreading hoaks news? Is spreading information that is not certain that the truth is only underestimated or is there a heavy fiqh legal consequence on the religious side?

Oral, written, and social sins

In the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad:

Meaning: “Namimah is to express something that is not liked to be revealed, either with speech, writing, gestures, or symbols. Even the nature is to spread the secrets and open the veil that should be closed.” (Syarah Sullam Taufiq, p. 68)

Approve hoaks is also a big sin
