Latest Update BSU 2025: Will Wage Subsidy assistance be disbursed again?

About Semarang – Wage subsidies (BSU) are one of the government programs that are always awaited by workers in Indonesia.

This program aims to ease the burden on low -income people, especially workers registered as active BPJS Employment participants.

After the first and second BSU disbursement was carried out in June and July 2025, many workers are now wondering whether BSU will return to disbursed this year.

For information, BSU disbursement through the last post office was conducted on August 12, 2025.

Pos Indonesia had previously announced an extension of disbursement through the official X account on August 7, 2025.

“BSU’s latest update! For those of you who haven’t had time to take BSU, calm down … now extended until August 12, 2025! Hurry up checking at Pospay and immediately disbursed at the post office,” wrote the official statement.

However, after that date, the public is still waiting for certainty about whether the government will channel BSU again.

Until August 25, 2025, the government had not issued an official announcement regarding the next stage of BSU disbursement. Based on the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) No. 5 of 2025, BSU disbursement this year is only scheduled for two months, namely June and July.

That is, the BSU 2025 program is not expected to resume until the end of the year, unless there is a new policy from the government.

BSU is given to employees with certain criteria according to the rules. This is the provision of BSU 2025:

– Workers or laborers with the status of Indonesian citizens (WNI) as evidenced by NIK.
– Registered as an active BPJS Employment participant until April 2025.
– Receive a maximum salary of Rp3.5 million per month.
– If working in an area with UMP/UMK above Rp3.5 million, the salary limit follows the local UMP/UMK provisions.
– Salary data used is the final report of the company to BPJS Employment.
– does not apply to ASN, TNI, and Polri active.
– Having an active account at the Himbara Bank (BNI, BRI, Mandiri, BTN), Indonesian Islamic Bank (BSI), or a distribution post office.

With the absence of an official announcement of additional disbursements, BSU 2025 is likely to only apply for two stages in June and July.

Workers are advised to continue to monitor the latest information from the Ministry of Manpower, BPJS Employment, or Pos Indonesia so as not to miss the official update.

BSU is indeed a major concern because of its benefits that are directly felt by workers.
