Darul Ma’arif Islamic Boarding School is again carrying out its annual agenda Wali Songo Pilgrimage on (Saturday, 14/12/2025). This meaningful activity was attended by hundreds of students as an effort to foster spirituality, deepen their love for the ulama, and get to know more closely the history of the struggle for Islamic propagation in the archipelago.
Before departure, all students and companions follow joint prayer and provision at … o’clock 15.30 WIB. This activity was led directly by Buya KH. Mukromin Thohirone of the caretakers of the Darul Ma’arif Islamic Boarding School. In his mau’idzohah, he advised the students to always maintain manners, health and solidarity while following the pilgrimage series.
This year’s Wali Songo pilgrimage was attended by 237 studentsaccompanied 12 companions And 1 kyai. For the sake of smooth and safe travel, the committee has prepared 5 buseswith supervision and assistance from the team Newfalah Tour & Travel Cirebon.
Chairman of the Pilgrimage Committee, Paragraph Mukhibullah, S.Ag.said that this activity is part of spiritual education which has always been the spirit of Islamic boarding schools.
“The Wali Songo pilgrimage is not just a journey, but a way for students to reap blessings, emulate the struggle of the saints, and strengthen their love for the ulama and Islam of the archipelago,” said Ust. Mukhibullah.
The pilgrimage route starts from Darul Ma’arif Islamic Boarding School Kaplongan Indramayu Green Campus towards the grave of Sunan Gunung Jatithen proceed to the grave nine Wali Songo other. After the entire pilgrimage series is completed, the group is scheduled to continue their journey educational holiday to Yogyakarta as the closing activity.
Furthermore, Ust. Mukhibullah hopes that this activity can leave an impression on the souls of the students.
“Hopefully the students returning from this pilgrimage will bring home the values of adab, laughter and the spirit of preaching of the saints to be put into practice in their daily lives,” he added.
Through the Wali Songo Pilgrimage activity, the Darul Ma’arif Islamic Boarding School continues to strive to instill Islamic values, togetherness, and the example of ulama, as a provision for its students in walking the path of knowledge and service.
