Digital transformation in the world of education continues to be the government’s concern. As a form of seriousness in improving the quality of technology-based learning, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education through the Directorate of Junior High Schools is holding activities Technical Guidance (BIMTEK) on the Use of Digitalization Equipment for Middle School Learning in 2026 on 22–23 May 2026 at the Aston Pasteur Hotel, West Java.
This activity was attended by around 100 representatives of junior high school level from various districts and cities throughout West Java. This program is a follow-up to Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2025 concerning the digital transformation of education which encourages schools to be more adaptive to technological developments.
One of the schools that had the opportunity to take part in this prestigious activity was NU Darul Ma’arif Kaplongan Middle School, Indramayu. The presence of teachers in BIMTEK is proof of the school’s commitment to improving the quality of technology-based education and modern learning.
In this activity, participants received various important material regarding the digitalization of learning, starting from utilization smart classoptimizing digital devices with assistance from the SMP Directorate, to implementing artificial intelligence (AI) in the teaching and learning process.
NU Darul Ma’arif Kaplongan Middle School teacher, Mohammad Ibnu Riziq, S.Pd., who took part in the activity said that BIMTEK provides new insights for educators in facing the challenges of digital era education.

According to him, the material presented is very relevant to current school needs, especially in the development of interactive learning media, the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS), and the application of AI to support teacher creativity in teaching.
“This activity really opens up our horizons as educators. Not only theory, but also direct practice on how to create interactive learning media, AI-based learning videos, and even more interesting and effective digital learning arrangements,” he said.
He also hopes that the results of these activities can be applied in real terms in the school environment so that they can improve the quality of learning and students’ interest in learning in the current digital era.
The implementation of BIMTEK itself is carried out through two methods, namely online and offline. The online session which took place on May 21 2026 discussed education digitalization policies and implementation smart class in learning. Meanwhile, offline sessions present various technical training such as digital device maintenance, TPACK implementation in deep learning, practice microteachingto creating a simple LMS.

Not only does it focus on improving teachers’ technological capabilities, this activity is also a strategic step in building an educational ecosystem that is more innovative, creative and adaptive to current developments.
The participation of NU Darul Ma’arif Kaplongan Middle School in this activity shows the institution’s seriousness in preparing a generation of students who not only excel in religious knowledge, but are also able to compete in the digital era and the development of modern technology.
