Central Java Provincial Government Boosts Floods and Robs in Sayung Demak, Gus Yasin directly review the equipment



About Semarang – The Central Java Provincial Government continues to intensify efforts to handle floods and robs that often hit Sayung District, Demak Regency.

Cross -agency collaboration, starting from the provincial, district, to the central government, continues to be strengthened in order to alleviate the burden of affected communities.

“We continue to make all efforts, starting from the provinces, districts, to the central government. Plus the support and prayers of the Demak community, normalization and pumping continue to be encouraged. God willing, the problem of floods and rob can be resolved immediately and the burden of the community can be lighter,” said Deputy Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen, while reviewing the equipment for handling floods on the banks of the Dompo River, Sayung, on Friday,

Gus Yasin – The familiar greeting of the Deputy Governor – goes directly to the field to ensure the maximum readiness and function of the equipment at the location.

During his visit, he visited the water pump on the edge of the Purwosari Sayung Pantura road and witnessed the Dompo River dredging process with the excavator.

Gus Yasin explained that a number of heavy equipment had been deployed, including two excavators placed in the strategic points of the Dompo River.

In addition, assistance from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) also soon came in the form of seven additional pump units that would accelerate the water suction process and improve the river flow.

“I check the available equipment, starting from the pump, excavator – one here, one next to downstream (Sayung Village). From the Ministry of Public Works, BBWS, and BBPJN will also come 7 additional pumps to support flood management,” he said.

He asserted that this cross -institutional cooperation was a clear proof of the seriousness of the government in overcoming the problem of flooding and rob in the coastal area of ​​Demak. The hope, through river normalization and pump optimization, water overflow can be controlled and no longer interfere with the activities and safety of residents.

“This is a maximum effort. With the normalization and support of equipment, water discharge can later be controlled, God willing, the problem of flooding can be resolved soon,” added Gus Yasin.

Furthermore, he appreciated the active participation of the Demak community who continued to show the concern and spirit of mutual cooperation in handling this disaster. The moral and spiritual support of residents is said to be very helpful in the smooth process in the field.

“I thank the Demak community who are cooperative, provide input, and endlessly pray. I also express my gratitude to the Central Java Province OPD, such as Pusdataru, Public Works Agency, Health Office, and other agencies that are working in the field for the benefit of the community,” he said.
