About Semarang – After the success in organizing volume I, the City Government (Pemkot) of Semarang again held the Semarang Goes To School Volume II report at SMP IT PAPB Semarang, Wednesday (9/24/2025).
This activity was presented as an effort to increase student participation in city development while suppressing the high call of Prank to the Emergency Service Call Center 112.
Data from the 112th Command Center of Semarang City noted that throughout 2025 had entered 22,021 calls. Of these, 9,576 is an emergency report, 3,949 information reports, and 8,496 is a call for prank and ghost call.
The percentage of fad calls reached 38.58 percent or almost half of the total reports.
The Semarang City Diskominfo Aspiration and Information Management Sub -Coordinator, Wulan Asih Setyarini, said that the majority of Prank Call came from the Z Gen who did not understand the main functions of public services.
“Most of them are just fun, throwing dirty words, even making fake calls. In fact, this has the potential to danger because it hinders emergency treatment for people who really need,” he said.
Through this activity, Diskominfo introduces various public service channels, such as reporting Semar Solutions AWP, Savira, to PPID information channels.
This program is in line with the target open government partnership in Semarang City, which is to encourage the participation of the younger generation in conveying aspirations and complaints early on.
Principal of Semarang PAPB IT Middle School, Ramelan, welcomed this activity. He hopes that students can be accustomed to conveying ideas politely and using public service channels appropriately.
“Convey the aspirations with the ethics of communication. Don’t only know, but also spread the benefits of this service channel to the surrounding community,” he said.
The enthusiasm of students can be seen from the many questions raised. Fero, a Karangturi Middle School student, claimed to have just known the function of the 112 call center, Semar report, to PPID from this activity.
“Now I know where to report if there are obstacles to government services and emergencies,” he said.
In this event, students were also invited to conduct emergency call trials 112 and complaints practices through the AWP Semar Solution Lapor application. The activity was increasingly interactive with the presence of three speakers from PPID, Semar Report, and Command Center 112.
In the future, the Semarang Goes to School reporting program will continue, not only targeting junior high schools, but also high schools to the community in the city of Semarang, in order to realize young people who care and participatory about city development. ***
