Prophet: the lover above the lover

Sufistic expressions about the Prophet as “lover above lovers” found his resonance in the works of classical scholars. Imam al-Būṣīrī in Qaṣīdat al-Burdah (Dar Al-Minhāj, 2002, p. 14) Praise him with poetry:

Because from the present time you are and harm it # and from your knowledge knowledge about sacrifice and pen

Meaning: “Indeed, from your heart’s generosity the world was created with its contents, and from your knowledge of Lauḥ and Qolam’s knowledge.”
