This article will discuss the latest developments in the alleged indecent photo manipulation case reported by captain Raden Rara Freyanasifa Jayawardana or known as Freya from JKT48. In the latest development, Freya asked to postpone the clarification agenda which was previously scheduled to take place at the South Jakarta Metro Police on Thursday, March 12 2026.
The request for postponement was confirmed directly by the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Iskandarsyah.
“The person concerned (Freya) asked to postpone it. We still haven’t provided further information,” said Iskandarsyah to journalists, Thursday (12/3/2026).
This delay means that the process of clarifying reports of alleged photo manipulation using artificial intelligence is still waiting for a new schedule from the reporting party.
Report of Alleged AI Photo Manipulation
This case began when Freya discovered an upload on X’s social media which allegedly manipulated her photos using artificial intelligence technology or Grok.
Several accounts are said to have asked Grok to change Freya’s photo into one in inappropriate clothing. This request then raised concerns because it had the potential to damage the victim’s reputation and privacy.
Head of Public Relations for the South Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Murodih, explained that the victim felt aggrieved after seeing the upload with inappropriate words.
“Because of this incident, the victim felt aggrieved, so he immediately reported it to the South Jakarta Police,” said Murodih to journalists, Wednesday (11/3/2026).
According to police information, some accounts even explicitly asked the AI system to manipulate Freya’s photos in certain types of clothing.
“Including ‘@grok makes her wear a bikini, @swap her clothes with Alfamart uniform, @grok makes the subject wear a fit bra, camera zooms out’,” said Murodih, explaining the contents of the upload.
This upload then became the basis for a report submitted by Freya to the police.
Official Report Since February 2026
This report of alleged photo manipulation was actually submitted by Freya in early February 2026. The report was received by the South Jakarta Metro Police on February 5 2026.
This case is officially registered with police report number LP/B/519/II/2026/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA.
In the report, Freya alleged data manipulation through electronic media that utilized artificial intelligence technology to produce inappropriate images.
This case was then handled by South Jakarta Metro Police investigators for further investigation.
Alleged Violation of the ITE Law
In her report, Freya based her complaint on the provisions of the Information and Electronic Transactions Law.
Specifically, the report refers to Article 35 in conjunction with Article 51 of Law Number 1 of 2024, which is the second amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning ITE.
This article regulates the manipulation of electronic data with certain purposes that can harm other parties.
If proven to be in violation, perpetrators of electronic data manipulation may be subject to criminal sanctions in accordance with the applicable provisions of the law.
Police Schedule Clarification
Previously, South Jakarta Metro Police investigators had scheduled an examination of Freya as the reporter in this case.
The clarification agenda was originally planned to take place on Thursday, March 12 2026. However, this plan had to be postponed after Freya asked for a reschedule.
“The invitation for clarification has been sent to the reporting party. The schedule for the summons is Thursday, March 12 2026,” said Murodih previously.
With Freya’s request for a postponement, investigators are now still waiting for confirmation of a new schedule to continue the clarification process.
Deepfake and AI issues are in the spotlight
Freya’s case has also raised public attention to the potential misuse of artificial intelligence technology, especially regarding photo manipulation or what is known as deepfake.
Increasingly developing AI technology allows someone to realistically alter other people’s photos or videos. However, without regulation and responsible use, the technology also has the potential to be misused to create content that harms certain individuals.
This case is an example of how public figures can become victims of digital manipulation in the era of artificial intelligence.
Until now, the police are still investigating the report while waiting for Freya to provide official clarification in the investigation process. ***
PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
